Smartermail: Get sent and received mail from a specific email

With Smartermail 6.x and above, you may administrator any of your email account sent and received email from a specific email to another email.

Get get this done. First of all, you need to make sure that you have the server administrator privilege in order for you to set the event.

This article separate in 2 parts which is configuring sent and configuring received email.

For SENT email,

  1. Log in as the system administrator.
  2. Click Settings in the main toolbar.
  3. Click the Events navigation pane.
  4. Click New Event in the left tree view.
  5. In the Name field, type the name of the event.
  6. In the Event Category field, select E-mail.
  7. In the Event Type field, select Message Received.
  8. Select the To Address checkbox and type the user’s email address in the corresponding field.
  9. Click the Actions tab.
  10. Click Add Action in the actions toolbar.
  11. In the Action field, select Add Recipient.
  12. In the Maximum Frequency field, select None.
  13. In the Recipients field, type the email address to which messages should be forwarded.
  14. Click Save.

For Received Mail,

  1. Log in as the system administrator.
  2. Click Settings in the main toolbar.
  3. Click the Events navigation pane.
  4. Click New Event in the left tree view.
  5. In the Name field, type the name of the event.
  6. In the Event Category field, select E-mail.
  7. In the Event Type field, select Message Sent.
  8. Select the From Address checkbox and type the user’s email address in the corresponding field.
  9. Click the Actions tab.
  10. Click Add Action in the actions toolbar.
  11. In the Action field, select Add Recipient.
  12. In the Maximum Frequency field, select None.
  13. In the Recipients field, type the email address to which messages should be forwarded.
  14. Click Save.

cPanel: Horde Mail: IP Change and Session end

Sometimes, when you using horde email account, you will found out your session changed and you need to login again.

Your Internet Address has changed since the beginning of your Mail session.
To protect your security, you must login again.

This error most probably appear when you using proxy server or multiple IP for your Internet Access.

To overcome this issue, you need to turn off the checkip value from your horde configuration.

1. Open file locate at /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/config/conf.php.
2. Change the value from,
$conf[‘auth’][‘checkip’] = true;

to

$conf[‘auth’][‘checkip’] = false;

3. Restart the email services.

Access Gmail in Windows Live Hotmail

Some user might not like the Gmail interface and would like to stick to the Windows Live mail for all of the time.

Did you think about how to access Gmail email message through your Windows Live email account? With this article will guide you how to access Gmail from Windows Live.

First of all, make sure that the POP is enabled from Gmail. Then log into your Windows Live account, select Options and select more options…in Inbox.

Next, select “Sending/receiving email from other accounts” and click on “Add an email account”.

Now, you may type your Gmail address under E-mail address: and it’s password then you may click next. Choose whether you want Gmail messages to appear in your default Windows Live Hotmail Inbox, in an existing or in a new folder under When mail is sent to [email protected]

Pick a color for Gmail messages under “How would you like unread messages for [email protected] to appear” then click Save.
