cPanel Fantastico not able to install any apps

Today I found out that the cPanel do not working well with the Fantastico DeLuxe and I have no idea what it is going on at first as there do not have any error from the server.

Symptoms:
1. Fantastico showing installation configuration file and database with ERROR.
2. No web file in the public_html folder.
3. Database is not configured properly(no table and data).

After long time tested and checked. Finally I am able to get some hint from the cPanel error_log.
=================
PHP Warning:  shell_exec() has been disabled for security reasons in /tmp/cpanel_phpengine.1289814352.9866F8Ane8kVMm on line 979
=================

I have immediate go to php.ini file and check for the disable_function and found out shell_exec and system is being listed.

To overcome it, I have putting a semi-colon “;” to the line of disable_function and restart the Apache HTTPD services and it is working fine.

Outlook 2010 is running slow

If you are using Microsoft Outlook 2010, you might found out it might be slower than previous version such as Microsoft Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Outlook 2007.

By default, Microsoft Outlook 2010 downloads both the emails and the attachments for every folder. As a result, users with mailboxes larger than 1 GB may find that Outlook takes a long time to download their messages.

With previous versions of Outlook only downloaded the message headers by default. But this setting was changed in Outlook 2010 to allow the program to index all content and display information about the emails and attachments each contact has sent Follow these steps to change this setting to only download the message headers to speed up Outlook:

1. Run Outlook 2010.
2. Click the Send/Receive tab.
3. Click Send/Receive Groups and select Define Send.Receive Groups. This will allow you to edit settings for send/receive groups.
4. Select All Accounts and click Edit.
5. Click the Download headers for subscribed folders option.
6. Click OK.
7. Click Close.
